What are eChecks and how do they work?
eChecks work much like regular checks, but instead of providing the merchant with a paper check, the customer provides the merchant with their bank account information, routing number and payment authorization. This information is securely submitted to our Automated Clearing House (ACH) network for processing. The ACH network is a group of financial institutions and similar entities within the banking industry that work together to facilite the processing and clearing of electronic check payments. eCheck transactions are strictly governed by ACH processing rules established by the National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA).
